Analysis: Hampshire pays $5.76 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Hampshire FPD Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 85.2 percent of the $286,483 the Hampshire FPD Firefighters Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $5.76 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Kane County Reporter analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Hampshire contributed $244,150 to the fund, which saw a $67,277 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $42,333, or 14.8 percent, in 2018.
