Analysis: Sugar Grove pays $3.14 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Sugar Grove FPD Firefighter's Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 71.8 percent of the $551,494 the Sugar Grove FPD Firefighter's Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $3.14 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Kane County Reporter analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Sugar Grove contributed $395,863 to the fund, which saw a $90,631 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $125,676, or 22.8 percent, in 2018. Another $29,955 came from other unspecified sources.
