Analysis: Sugar Grove pays $3.77 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Sugar Grove Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 78.7 percent of the $453,029 the Sugar Grove Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $3.77 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Kane County Reporter analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Sugar Grove contributed $356,414 to the fund, which saw a $37,617 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $94,437, or 20.8 percent, in 2018. Another $2,178 came from other unspecified sources.
