Analysis: West Dundee pays $5.17 for every $1 pensioners contribute to West Dundee Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 83.8 percent of the $412,342 the West Dundee Firefighters Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $5.17 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Kane County Reporter analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, West Dundee contributed $345,561 to the fund, which saw a $99,961 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $66,781, or 16.2 percent, in 2018.
