CITY OF BATAVIA: Traffic Alert - Randall Rd Corridor Batavia, IL

Trafficcontrol

City of Batavia issued the following announcement on June 25.

The Batavia Police Department would like to make citizens and the motoring public aware of on-going Kane County Department of Transportation (KDOT) traffic signal improvements that are occurring on Randall Road from Mill Street south to Main Street. The project will require the full shutdown of traffic signals at Mill Street, McKee Street, Wilson Street, and Main Street as work is completed at each of these intersections. Work will be done on each intersection separately so there is never more than one shutdown taking place at any given time. Longer delays should be expected between 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM, specifically on Monday, June 29th at Randall Rd/McKee Street and on Tuesday, June 30th at Randall Rd/Wilson St. Plans for traffic signal improvement at Randall Rd/Main St are tentatively set for Wednesday, July 8th.

Please plan on longer delays then normal and exercise caution and patience while traveling through the Randall Road corridor. As a reminder, when a traffic signal is not functioning or is flashing all red, motorists must always treat the intersection as an all way stop, unless directed otherwise by law enforcement. Motorists must look and yield the right of way before entering an intersection.
