I. Call to Order
The Forest Preserve District Commission meeting was held at 9:00 AM at Kane County Government Center, 719 S. Batavia Ave., Bldg. A, Geneva, IL 60134. The meeting was opened by President Michael Kenyon at 9:00 AM.

IV. In Memoriam: Officer Harold H. Carter, Jr.
Executive Director Meyers acknowledged that the District family will miss Harold and his friendly demeanor as well as his work ethic. He will be missed by all his coworkers and his family continues to be in our thoughts. A moment of silence was observed in memory of Officer Harold Carter and then a prayer was said by Chaplain Mike Jones.

VI. Presentation
BallPark Digest Honors Kane County Cougars for Commitment to Charity Award Executive Director Meyers presented Dr. Bob Froehlich with a certificate recognizing the Cougars' Foundation for their great charity work and spirit of giving back to our communities. Dr. Froehlich took a moment to thank the staff and commission for their spirit of cooperation with the Cougars organization. He then highlighted the growth the Cougars Foundation has had since 2014 and the ranking amongst the other minor league baseball charities. The Cougars have a ranking in the top 10 in charitable giving for 2018. This award was given by Ballpark Digest.com and the Cougars were selected among the 160 MiLB teams to receive this distinction and prestigious award. The Forest Preserve District is happy and proud to recognize this award as well as the partnership between the Cougars' organization and the District.
