ILLINOIS STATE HOUSE DISTRICT 50: Health Insurance & Wellness Fair offered in Montgomery Nov. 5, hosted by Rep. Wheeler and Rep. Batinick

Meeting 08

Illinois State House District 50 issued the following announcement on Oct. 23.

Local residents interested in learning about their options to purchase a health care plan on the Get Covered Illinois marketplace and/or finding out whether they are eligible for Medicaid are invited to attend a free Health Insurance & Wellness Fair from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 5 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, located at 63 Fernwood Road. The event is sponsored by State Representative Keith Wheeler, R-Oswego and State Representative Mark Batinick, R-Plainfield.

Representatives from the Illinois Department of Insurance, Get Covered Illinois and other agencies will be on-hand to inform attendees of their health insurance options, including Medicaid and private plans. Area hospitals and other local healthcare organizations will also be on site to offer helpful guides, free brochures and consultation on the medical services they offer. Some may offer FREE health screenings as well.

“We are committed to making sure that local families are aware of all the options available to them when it comes to health insurance coverage,” Representative Wheeler said. “We look forward to welcoming everyone on November 5 and helping local residents find the health care plan that best fits their family’s needs. We also thank St. Luke’s Lutheran Church for partnering with us to host this event.”

The Health Insurance & Wellness Fair is being held to coincide with the Open Enrollment Period to purchase health insurance through HealthCare.gov, which runs from Friday, November 1 to Sunday, December 15, 2019.
