City of Aurora Municipal Airport Advisory Board met Aug. 12.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

I. Meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Chairman Armbruster.

II. MEMBERS PRESENT: Mr. Baker, Mr. Fank, Mr. Koster, Mr. Armbruster

MEMBERS EXCUSED: Mr. Wolf, Mr. Davis, Mr. Lieser

REPS PRESENT: Mr. Andras

OTHERS PRESENT: Kyle Peabody

III. A motion was made by Mr. Koster, seconded by Mr. Fank, to accept the minutes of the June 10, 2019 meeting of the Airport Advisory Board. The motion carried unanimously.

IV. Public Comment – no public comment.

V. Committee Reports

A. Finance - no report

B. Planning & Ops – no report

VI. Old Business

A. Sugar Grove Update – Mr. Baker reported the scope of the Hankes Road bridge deck project has changed and no longer will be a complete reconstruction. He also reported that Trustee Lee Drendel retired from the Sugar Grove Township Board.

B. Draft Airport Rate Study – no report

C. Airport Entrance Sign – Mr. Andras reported that the budget decision package submitted for funding of a new sign was not approved for the 2020 budget. To be removed from agenda.

D. ALCMS/Southeast Quad Overlay – Mr. Andras reported the southeast quad overlay project is now complete. To be removed from agenda. Mr. Peabody reported the ALCMS project is scheduled to take place August 26 through September 23, 2019.

E. Non-Airworthy Aircraft on Ramp – Mr. Andras reported one of the disabled aircraft on the ramp is part of an estate dispute.

F. Increasing Fuel Flowage Fee – Tabled - no report

VII. New Business – no new business was brought before the board.

VIII.Other Business

A. CMT Payment – Mr. Andras reported he had a meeting with City administrators to find a way to pay CMT monies owed.

B. Runway 18/36 – Mr. Koster requested an update on the repairs to 18/36 that were budgeted through a 2019 decision package. Mr. Andras reported the repairs to runway 18/36 are contingent upon the phase 2 pavement rehab project. Although the project was let in April, the agency agreement has not been received from the State yet because the City of Aurora has not updated their registrations in the necessary programs to receive grants for federal/state fiscal year 2020. Due to the length of time, the project may not happen this year.

IX. Public Comment – no public comment.

A motion was made by Mr. Fank, seconded by Mr. Koster, to adjourn the August 12, 2019 meeting of the Aurora Municipal Airport Advisory Board at 6:25 p.m. The motion carried unanimously.
