The data shows that six men and four women were released in the Batavia zip code. The median age of the parolees was 38. The youngest parolee was a 19-year-old man convicted in 2018, and the oldest was a 63-year-old woman convicted of a crime involving alcohol in 2017.
The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Randy Freeman. He was convicted of a crime against a person in 2011, when he was 24 years old. He is now 32.
Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
