There were two offenders convicted of homicide released on parole near Illinois zip code 60505 during the second half of 2018, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the Kane County Reporter.

The data shows that a man and woman were released in 60505. The younger parolee was a 25-year-old man sentenced in 2017. The other was a 52-year-old woman sentenced in 1990.

The offender who was incarcerated the longest was Bessie Rowlen. She was convicted of homicide in 1990 when she was 24 years old. She is now 52.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
