Dan Ugaste is certain about who he finds J.B. Pritzker to be.
“I think he is a man who lacks integrity and I wonder why any voter would be willing to take a chance on him,” Ugaste told the Kane County Reporter. “Illinois has more than enough examples of what can happen when we have people in elected office that have shown themselves to be less than honorable.”
Pritzker, the democratic nominee for governor, has recently come under fire after a Cook County inspector general's report raised questions about the $330,000 he previously received in property tax breaks and tax refunds for one of his properties, the Chicago Tribune states.

Though he has now vowed to pay back the money, Ugaste argues voters shouldn’t be too quick to just forgive and forget.
“We need to stop the cycle of putting people in office when they have these giant red flags going off,” he said. “Gov. (Bruce) Rauner has been warning us about Pritzker and his lack of ethics for a while now.”
Throughout his campaign, Rauner has mocked his rival as a “tax cheat” who once removed toilets from a home he owns as a way of avoiding having to pay a fair tax rate on the property.
Critics are also quick to point out Pritzker’s repayment plan only comes after State’s Attorney Kim Foxx said her office planned to look into his actions and staffers in the governor’s office began referring to his reimbursement plan as an admission of guilt.
“He has all these plans of how he plans to tax other people’s income when he isn’t even paying his fair share himself,” Ugaste added. “It’s the height of hypocrisy and another example of just how self-entitled J.B. Pritzker is in everything he does.”
The 65th House District includes Batavia, Burlington, Dundee, Elgin, Geneva, Grafton, Hampshire, Plato, Rutland and St. Charles.
