City of St. Charles issued the following announcement on July 11.
A lot of buzz was created at a recent City Council meeting when actor/performer/restaurateur—and St. Charles resident—Donnie Wahlberg made an appearance. He was there to hear the unanimous ‘Yes’ vote approving the location of a new Wahlburgers in an outlot of the Meijer store on Randall Road in St. Charles. It will be the first Wahlburgers in Illinois! A TV crew from A & E’s Wahlburgers show captured the proceedings.
What may have gotten overlooked, but also is big news, is the announcement that things are happening at the former Charlestowne Mall site over on the east side of town. A representative from Lennar Corporation was on hand at the meeting to announce they are developing the residential portion of the project.
