A. Legislative Update

Co-Chair Starrett provided an update on bills previously discussed at the Legislative Breakfast including HB5244, SB2486, HB4573, HB4321 and SB2581.

5. New Business

Starrett shared an article from the Beacon News regarding the impact of video gaming in Illinois. She discussed an article from the Chicago Sun Times, which outlines options for pension fund consolidation. She explained SB3426, SB3425, SB3423, SB3422, and SB3424. (Silva leaves @ 10:16 a.m.)

Thomas provided information on SB4637 consolidating offices in McHenry County. She felt Kane County should consider options for consolidating functions within townships to absorb costs. Brief discussion followed.

Starrett promoted upcoming events including 2018 NACo's Annual Conference and Exposition on July 13-16, the WIR Conference May 23, the Stepping Up Initiative webinar August 2, and Protecting Elections from Cybersecurity Threats webinar on June 21.
