Algonquin Lakes Park issued the following announcement on June 11.
Construction crews will continue the installation of the new water main this week between Washington Street and Algonquin Road. The electrical contractor will also be working south of Washington Street installing conduits for the underground utilities.
Main Street from Washington Street to Algonquin Road will continue to function as a one-way only southbound street through this phase of construction. Vehicles traveling northbound on Main Street are being detoured at Washington Street to Harrison Street.
As we prepare for the exciting future of Old Town Algonquin, we thank everyone who has been a part of Main Street’s history. The Village is offering to return engraved bricks that were donated to fund the previous downtown project. People interested in reclaiming a brick they purchased through this program have until July 31st to submit their request.
