City of Geneva Cultural Arts Commission met April 4.

Here is the minutes provided by the Commission:

Present:

Lynette Dubovik Wendy Tupy

Lorraine Ochsner

Call To Order AT 7:30 PM – Lynette Dubovik

Board Reports

President’s Report – Lynette Dubovik

- Called Lutheran church about space availability and pricing for future meetings – still waiting to hear back

- Tentatively, meetings will be held at the library

- Theme ideas for Arts Ramble prizes (4 prizes total)

Vice President’s Report – Lorraine Ochsner

- Al will set up food for Arts Ramble

- Parking for show will be the surrounding streets; artists are to park in designated area at State and 1st Streets

- Will do outdoor banners and poster board signs to advertise our location at the show

Secretary’s Report – Wendy Tupy

- Wendy to donate artwork for one of the themed Arts Ramble prizes

- Other basket items will be donated or bought

Upcoming Events –

- Arts Ramble:

 Final count: 12 artists

 Final artist spaces marked out

 Artists to set up between 8am and 10am

 Artists to provide protective drop cloths if doing demonstrations

 Al will set up food (coffee, tea, lemonade, water, cookies/brownies, pretzels, chips, etc.)

 Will have customers do a drawing for 4 different prizes of various themes; winners announced at end of show

 Lorraine and Lynette will purchase remaining items needed
