Graduates earn 1,822 degrees, certificates from Waubonsee Community College

About 28.4 percent of the 1,822 degrees and certificates handed out by the Waubonsee Community College in 2016-17 were to students in Multi/Interdisciplinary Studies programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Grove conferred 518 associate's degrees in Multi/Interdisciplinary Studies programs.

But the single most popular program was for a associate's degree in Biological and Physical Sciences. Data shows the school gave out 518 associate's degrees in Biological and Physical Sciences, followed by 296 associate's degrees in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies and 161 certificates in Nursing Assistant/Aide and Patient Care Assistant/Aide.

The college enrolled 10,081 students for 2016-17, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
