Elburn Planning Commission recently issued the following announcement.
The Village of Elburn seeks candidates for the position of Planning Commissioner.
The Village of Elburn seeks to fill a vacancy on the Planning Commission. The Planning Commission plays a vital role in the Village by conducting public hearings and preparing written findings of fact and recommendations to the Village Board on the following matters:
- Applications for amendments to the Zoning District Map or the text of this Zoning Ordinance.
- Special use permits.
- Special use permits for planned developments, including any requests for exceptions from required standards of the Zoning Ordinance.
- Zoning requests pertaining to newly annexed property, including review of all plats and plans in connection therewith.
- Site plan review for development proposals in commercial, commercial manufacturing, and manufacturing districts.
- Plats of subdivision, including review of such plats for conformance to the Comprehensive Land Use Plan, this Zoning Ordinance, and the Subdivision Regulations of the Village of Elburn, as may be amended from time to time.
Residency in the Village of Elburn is required. The Planning Commission meets on the first Tuesday of the month at 7:00 pm at the Village Hall.
