City of Geneva Business Improvement and Retention Committee (BIR) issued the following announcement on April 26.
The Kane County Division of Transportation will be inspecting the Fabyan Parkway bridge spanning the Fox River on Saturday, May 5, weather permitting.
Traffic will be restricted to a single lane in each direction from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to allow inspectors access to the bridge.
Drivers in this project area should be prepared to reduce their speed, exercise caution, watch for construction workers and vehicles entering or leaving the site, as well as obey flaggers and other traffic control devices within the work zone.
Motorists should expect delays and may want to add additional time to their commutes or consider the use of alternate routes while this work is completed.
Questions and concerns can be directed to KDOT's Mike Zakosek at 630-584-1170. For more information about other Kane County road work projects, visit the County's traffic alerts webpage.
