Analysis: Sugar Grove pays $2.91 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Sugar Grove Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 74.2 percent of the $362,430 the Sugar Grove Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $2.91 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Kane County Reporter analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Sugar Grove contributed $269,002 to the fund, which saw a $5,040 decrease in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $92,439, or 25.5 percent, in 2016. Another $989 came from other unspecified sources.
