Analysis: Aurora pays $2.62 for every $1 pensioners contribute to North Aurora Fpd Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 71.9 percent of the $822,933 the North Aurora Fpd Firefighters Pension Fund brought in last year, or $2.62 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Kane County Reporter analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Aurora contributed $591,588 to the fund, which saw a $17,783 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $225,148, or 27.4 percent, in 2016. Another $6,197 came from other unspecified sources.
