Analysis: Montgomery pays $2.08 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Montgomery Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 67.6 percent of the $668,816 the Montgomery Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $2.08 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Kane County Reporter analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Montgomery contributed $452,282 to the fund, which saw a $8,248 decrease in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $216,533, or 32.4 percent, in 2016. Another $1 came from other unspecified sources.
