Analysis: Gilberts pays $2.20 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Gilberts Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 68.8 percent of the $170,024 the Gilberts Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $2.20 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Kane County Reporter analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Gilberts contributed $117,040 to the fund, which saw a $6,854 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $52,985, or 31.2 percent, in 2016.
