Analysis: Carpentersville pays $4.41 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Carpentersville Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 82 percent of the $2,860,796 the Carpentersville Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $4.41 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Kane County Reporter analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Carpentersville contributed $2,346,705 to the fund, which saw a $423,985 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $531,488, or 18.6 percent, in 2016.
