Analysis: St. Charles pays $7.72 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Campton Hills Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 88.5 percent of the $336,839 the Campton Hills Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $7.72 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Kane County Reporter analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, St. Charles contributed $298,228 to the fund, which saw a $124,132 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $38,610, or 11.5 percent, in 2016. Another $1 came from other unspecified sources.
