Analysis: Aurora pays $3.44 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Aurora Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 77.5 percent of the $15,057,385 the Aurora Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $3.44 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Kane County Reporter analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Aurora contributed $11,672,490 to the fund, which saw a $319,661 decrease in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $3,384,895, or 22.5 percent, in 2016.
