The calls in Geneva included 96 fires - 67 structure fires, 10 vehicle fires and 17 other fires. The fire department also responded to two calls for ruptures, explosions or overheating.
In all, the department saw $571,660 in fire loss - or about $5,955 per fire.
The department also received 374 false calls, including six malicious calls and 368 other false calls.
Two fire service members were injured in fire-related incidents and two were injured in non fire-related incidents.
The Geneva Firefighters' Pension Fund, which has 20 active employees and nine retired or inactive employees, was $789,447 in debt as of April 2016, according to the fund's mandated filings with the Illinois Department of Insurance. That amounts to $8,223 for every fire in 2016.
