Geneva Committee of the Whole reviews strategic plan

The city of Geneva Committee of the Whole met Sept. 12 to review the city's strategic plan.

Here are the meeting's minutes, as provided by the committee:

SPECIAL COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MINUTES

SEPTEMBER 12, 2016

Present: Mayor Burns, Ald. Burghart, Cummings, Maladra, Marks, Radecki, Simonian, Seno (arrived at 7:14pm), Singer

Absent: Ald. Bruno, Kilburg

Staff Present: Admin. Dawkins, Dir. Babica, Dir. DeGroot, Chief Antenore, Dir. Tymoszenko

1. CALL TO ORDER

Chairman Marks called the meeting to order at 7:11pm, noting Ald. Bruno and Kilburg were absent and Ald. Seno was enroute.

On a motion by Ald. Simonian, second by Ald. Cummings, the fees for the special meeting were waived by unanimous voice vote.

2. ITEMS OF BUSINESS

a. Discussion Regarding the City of Geneva’s Strategic Plan.

The aldermen reviewed each of the Visions and Goals in the Plan and with some assistance from staff when requested, determined which items could be removed because they had been completed; which items they decided not to include any longer; and which items they would like more information and discussion at the November Goals Workshop. Admin. Dawkins stated that SPAC would provide the updated plan for the November workshop.

4. ADJOURNMENT

On a motion by Ald. Simonian, second by Ald. Singer, the meeting was adjourned by unanimous voice vote at 8:31pm.
