Elgin City Council considers parking regulation

The Elgin City Council met Aug. 24 to consider a no parking regulation on Bent Street.

A. Consideration of No Parking Regulation for Bent Street Between Upper and Lower

Wellington (No cost to the City)

Objective: Improve line of site, traffic flow and effectiveness of public service delivery on

Bent Street.  

  

B. Consideration of Contract with The Horton Group for Employee Benefit Consulting

Services (RFP 16?135)  ($84,000)

Objective: Award a contract for health, vision, dental and life insurance solicitation and

negotiation and support services for employees.  

  

C. Consideration of Approve a List of Selected Recipients for the 2016 Residential

Conversion Grant Program ($94,000)

Objective: Award grants to owners of lawful nonconforming residential properties to

return the property to a lawful conforming state.  

  

D. Consideration of Sub?Recipient Agreement with Kane County Office of Community

Reinvestment for 2015 Community Development Block Grant ($50,000)

Objective: Provide federal grant funding for a government based organization to provide

for reimbursement of costs associated with the Lead Hazard Control Program addressing

lead?based paint hazards in low? to moderate?income households throughout Kane

County.
