Central Community Unit School District 301 announced on its official Twitter account a series of updates regarding the Central High School football team's playoff journey, including their advance to the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) Class 6A Quarterfinals.

On November 8, 2025, the district posted: " LUNCHTIME LINEUP: Playoff football under the lights on Rocket Hill. @chsfootball100 battles the Harlem Huskies in hopes of reaching the IHSA Quarterfinals for the 1st time in 19 yrs.
