Central Community Unit School District 301 shared updates on recent school events and activities through a series of posts between November 6 and November 7, 2025.

On November 6, the district highlighted an important volleyball match for the Rockets: "LUNCHTIME LINEUP: On today's menu, the biggest match for the Rockets in 12 yrs hoping to take down top-seeded St. Viator tonight eyeing their first @ihsa_il Sectional since '08. Later that day, another post celebrated the creativity of teachers during Spirit Week at Howard B. Thomas Grade School (HBT): " Underground Spirit Week at HBT! Central Community Unit School District 301 serves Kane and DeKalb counties and includes several schools such as Central High School and Howard B. Thomas Grade School. The district is composed of approximately 280 teachers with an average salary of $58,199; about three-quarters are women and just over one-fifth are men. No teacher in the district has more than ten absences in a school year (source). Demographically, students in the district are primarily White (65.3 percent), with Hispanic (16.5 percent), Asian (12.2 percent), and Black (2.1 percent) populations also represented (source). In fiscal year 2020, spending per student reached $19,244 for a total expenditure of nearly $85 million (source).
