The Geneva Public Works Facility at 1800 South St. will be closed to customers on Tuesday, Nov. 11, due to scheduled maintenance on an electric transformer. This work will require a power outage at the facility throughout the day.

According to city officials, the planned outage is not expected to affect electric service for nearby residential customers.

Despite the closure of the building, Geneva Public Works employees will continue their field operations as usual. The department's phone lines will remain operational and calls will be redirected to staff working from other City buildings during the closure. Contact information for divisions such as Streets, Electric, Engineering, and Water can be found in the staff directory.

Residents may also report non-emergency concerns online using the City's SeeClickFix platform. Access to the free mulch pile outside the facility will remain available.

All other City buildings are scheduled to remain open on Nov. 11. The Public Works Facility plans to resume regular business hours on Wednesday, Nov. 12. Regular public hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
