Central Community Unit School District 301 recently highlighted staff and student achievements and upcoming athletic events through a series of posts on its official Twitter account. The posts, authored by the district, featured staff recognition, student awards, and information about school sports.

On October 8, 2025, the district introduced a staff member at Prairie View Grade School: " Say hello to Elizabeth Lueck, Resource Teacher at Prairie View! She loves celebrating the progress her students make throughout the year — and she’s happiest spending weekends with family, crafting, and catching sunsets. #WeAreCentral #NewCrew25 https://t.co/EVkUPlHpih"

The following day, on October 9, 2025, the district recognized students for positive behavior on school transportation: " Congrats to our September Bus Buddy Winners! These students went above and beyond to show kindness and respect on the bus. Each will receive a certificate and DQ gift card from their driver! #WeAreCentral https://t.co/t2nqJJOxvM"

Central Community Unit School District 301 serves areas in Kane and DeKalb counties and includes several schools such as Central High School, Central Middle School, Country Trails Elementary School, Howard B. Thomas Grade School, Lily Lake Grade School, Prairie Knolls Middle School, and Prairie View Grade School. According to the Illinois State Board of Education, the district employs 280 teachers with an average salary of $58,199. The teaching staff is predominantly female (77.7 percent), and there are no teachers with more than ten absences in a school year. The student population is diverse: 65.3 percent White, 2.1 percent Black, 16.5 percent Hispanic, and 12.2 percent Asian.
