Illinois State Representative Dan Ugaste and Senator Don DeWitte will host a free document shredding event and food drive on Saturday, October 4, in Elburn. The event is scheduled from 9 to 11 a.m. Residents are encouraged to bring sensitive documents for secure shredding and donate unexpired, non-perishable food items to benefit the Elburn Countryside Food Pantry.

"Please join us for a Free Shred Event and Food Drive Saturday, October 4, from 9-11 a.m. in Elburn! Bring your sensitive documents for shredding, and also food items to be donated to the Elburn Countryside Food Pantry. Please bring only unexpired and non-perishable food items," organizers stated.

Ugaste has served as the Republican representative for Illinois' 65th House District since his election in 2019, succeeding Steven Andersson.
