The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) will remove surface materials on Broadway Avenue (IL Route 25) in Aurora during the overnight hours of Friday, September 5. The City of Aurora has given permission for this work, which aims to make important pavement repairs and minimize traffic congestion along Broadway.
City officials have acknowledged that while contractors will try to limit noise, residents living near the construction area may still experience loud conditions throughout the night.
"Both the City of Aurora and IDOT are committed to addressing the needs of residents, and will work to reduce the potential of disruptive noise in the area."
The roadwork is scheduled to last one night and should be completed by Saturday morning, September 6.
