Central Community Unit School District 301 recently used its social media platform to share updates on school events, including an open house at Central High School and scheduling changes for athletic competitions.

On September 8, 2025, the district expressed appreciation for community engagement with a post: " CHS Open House Thanks to all the folks who joined us at @301_chs for Open House last week! What a great way to connect with teachers, and set the stage for a successful school year together. Plus, any reason for ice cream is a good reason. #WeAreCentral https://t.co/7tMA1ScgCT".

Later that day, the district highlighted upcoming student sports activities in another message: "LUNCHTIME LINEUP: On today's menu, we have a girls volleyball rivalry battle on Rocket Hill. An update followed regarding schedule adjustments: "UPDATE: HS VB has been canceled for today".
