The Illinois House concluded its two-week Veto Session without addressing several significant issues. During the session, Democrats passed several bills at the last minute, some of which were substantially altered and had one-year extensions applied to 12 different pieces of legislation.

One notable omission from the session was the reinstatement of the Invest in Kids Act. Critics have expressed concern that this oversight neglects important needs related to children's welfare.

An article titled "IL legislators adjourn veto session as some warn about ‘risky lame duck’" is available on The Center Square's website for further details.
