Aris Garcia, candidate for the 49th House District, recently participated in a press conference hosted by the Kane County GOP, where he celebrated the presence of numerous conservative candidates running for various positions across Kane County. Garcia expressed his enthusiasm about the event and listed several fellow conservative candidates, showcasing a united front within the party.
“Great press conference at Kane County GOP,” Garcia said on Facebook. “Lots of great conservative candidates attended running for positions across Kane County.”
The press conference attracted a diverse and dynamic group of conservative candidates vying for various positions across Kane County. Among them was Lance Bell, who announced his candidacy for Kane County Board Chairman. Other contenders included Michelle Green, Jon Gripe and Bill Roth, all running for positions on the Kane County Board.
Garcia also mentioned Gretchen Butler as a candidate in the race for Kane County Auditor. In addition to local office seekers, he listed U.S. Congress candidates for Districts 11 and 14. The lineup for U.S. Congress in District 11 featured Jerry Evans, Susan Hathaway-Altman and Dr. Kent Mercado while Jim Marter represented District 14.
Andrew Sosnowski was named as a candidate for the position of Kane County State’s Attorney by Garcia. This impressive roster of conservative hopefuls underscores a unified effort to bolster conservative representation in Kane County.
Known for his active involvement in local affairs, Garcia has been particularly vocal about fiscal responsibility. According to reports from the Kane County Reporter last year, he strongly opposed raising local tax increases in Kane County and publicly protested against a proposed 5% property tax hike for Elgin Community College.
Garcia is a first-generation American who immigrated from Germany and has now announced his candidacy for State Representative. A graduate of Central Florida Aerospace Academy, he is committed to addressing issues he believes the Democratic party has overlooked, particularly in education.
"I am running for State Representative because I believe the Democrats have failed our children and are actively destroying opportunities for the middle and lower classes," he stated on his campaign website,
Garcia's stance reflects his commitment to holding politicians accountable for their actions, especially those who prioritize personal interests over community needs. He criticized the alleged misuse of political offices as personal "piggy banks," stressing that such actions come at the expense of the people they are meant to serve.
Currently, Garcia is running for the 49th District which is represented by State Rep. Maura Hirschauer (D-Batavia). The district includes parts of Batavia, West Chicago, South Elgin, Wayne, Bartlett and portions of Aurora and Geneva according to Ballotpedia. Hirschauer has announced her intention to run for re-election to continue representing the district. She declared her candidacy for the Democratic primary scheduled on March 19.
