Response to News of Trinity International University’s Academic Changes

Judson University’s thoughts and prayers are with the students, faculty, staff, and administrators of Trinity International University as it announced that they are “discontinuing residential and in-person undergraduate education (with the exception of our BA/MDiv program), effective at the close of the spring 2023 semester.” (See the full release here.)

“As an educational institution, we understand that market challenges and demographic shifts have impacted Christian higher education in the last decade,” said Dr. Nikki Fennern, Executive Vice President at Judson. “We remain committed to offering excellent academic programs and a strong Christian community that will shape the lives of our students. Judson makes this within reach for all students by providing competitive financial aid and a special program for Illinois students.”

As a fully accredited university located in the Chicago area, Judson University stands ready to serve any student and family impacted by this announcement. Judson representatives will attend the February 27 College Fair arranged by TIU to help its students complete their degrees. Judson University will offer similar financial aid, quick transcript evaluations, easy application, and a simplified transfer process to help students achieve their academic goals. Judson’s coaches and admissions team are available to discuss the opportunities available to students and families.
