City of Aurora Civil Service Commission Met May 6.

CALL TO ORDER – 4:12 p.m.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Commissioner Armstrong motioned to table the April 29, 2021 meeting minutes until the next meeting. Commissioner Perkins seconded. Motion Passed.

Commissioner Perkins motioned to approve the April 15, 2021 meeting minutes. Commissioner Wood seconded. Motion Passed.

Review of the April 2021 payroll was tabled until the next scheduled meeting.

Commissioner Perkins motioned to take the Commission into executive session at 4:15 p.m. to review public safety applicant polygraph, psychological, backgrounds. Commissioner Armstrong seconded. Motion Passed.

Commissioner Perkins motioned to take the Commission out of executive session at 4:56 p.m. to review public safety (Police Department, Fire Department) polygraph evaluation and/or psychological assessments. Commissioner Armstrong seconded. Motion Passed.

Commissioner Wood motioned to pass 2021 Police Officer candidates Victor Castillo, Raven Burress, Matthew Slocum, Patrick Gary to the next step in the hiring process due to the results of the polygraph assessment. Commissioner Perkins seconded. Motion passed.

Commissioner Wood motioned to pass 2021 Police Officer candidates Victor Castillo, Raven Burress, Matthew Slocum, Patrick Gary to the next step in the hiring process due to the results of the psychological evaluation. Commissioner Perkins seconded. Motion passed.

Commissioner Armstrong motioned to strike 2021 Police Officer candidates Nimit Zaveri, Freddy Medina, Martin Zyla, Jeremiah Henn from the eligibility list due to the results of the polygraph evaluation. Commissioner Perkins seconded. Motion passed.

Commissioner Armstrong motioned strike 2021 Police Officer candidates to Ryne Lundy, Danielle Heinz, Anais Vazquez, Brian Krueger, Jesus Villagomez, Karsten Pavlick, Daisy Garcia, Connor Beres, Adrian Garduno, John Hinterlong, Jeremy Turner, Gerardo Solis, Samantha Rodriguez from the eligibility list per their request. Commissioner Perkins seconded. Motion passed.

Commissioner Armstrong motioned strike 2021 Police Officer candidates to Elijah Ramos from the eligibility list per his request. Commissioner Perkins seconded. Motion passed.

Commissioner Perkins motioned, seconded by Commissioner Armstrong to adjourn the meeting at 5:08 p.m. Motion passed.
