A section of Route 31 in Geneva will experience traffic restrictions on April 16 and 17 due to a residential water service replacement project. The lane reduction will be effective as Geneva Public Works crews undertake utility work at 312 N. First St.

The work will begin at 9 a.m. on April 16, with Route 31 being limited to one lane in both directions between Stevens and Ford streets. Flaggers will be positioned to help direct traffic through the area. The initial phase of construction is set to conclude by mid-morning on April 16, with the road reopening temporarily. Lane restrictions will recommence at 8 a.m. on April 17, with the project scheduled for completion before the start of the evening rush hour.

Residents seeking further details are advised to contact the Geneva Public Works Department Water Division at 630-232-1551.
