City of Elgin issued the following announcement on Dec. 25.
All non-emergency city offices are closed December 24 + 25 and December 31 + January 1. Only Friday garbage and recycling collections will be delayed until Saturday those weeks - all other collections will take place as usual. Enjoy your holiday weekend and celebrate safely!
