City of Elgin issued the following announcement on Dec. 19.
Southbound Liberty Street (RT. 25) is closed at Summit Street for tree removal work. All traffic will be detoured west to Dundee, south to E. Chicago St. and then east back to Liberty St. This work will be completed around noon.
