City of Batavia City Council met May 18.

Here is the minutes provided by the council:

ROLL CALL

Mayor Schielke called the City Council meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. with 13 of 14 aldermen present in the electronic meeting. All meeting participants attended via video or phone due to Gov. Pritzker’s stay-at-home order in place through May 30,2020, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The meeting was conducted in a way that allowed the general public to participate electronically if desired.

Present: Miller, Russotto, Beck, Knopp, Chanzit, Wolff, Baerren, O’Brien, Callahan, Meitzler, Uher, Cerone, McFadden

Absent at roll call: Ald. Malay, who joined the meeting at 7:35 p.m. after the Consent Agenda vote.

A. May 15, 2020 Payroll $879,520.87

B. Accounts Payable Check Register $3,152,880.33
