Illinois state Rep. Allen Skillicorn (E-East Dundee) is slated to host a Support President Trump rally in Algonquin on Saturday morning beginning at 10 a.m.
The two-hour event kicks off at the intersection of Randall Road and County Line Road, with voters being encouraged to “come show your support for President Trump and enthusiasm for a roaring economy.” Supporters are also encouraged to “bring your signs, flags and patriotic gear.”
Even before the Democratically controlled U.S. House of Representatives moved to formally impeach the president on the articles of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress, Skillicorn has been one of Trump's most vocal supporters among local lawmakers.

During a recent Trump visit to Illinois to address the International Association of Chiefs of Police, Skillicorn was front and center in attendance.
"Most politicians make promises with no intention to actually fulfill them," Skillicorn told the Daily Herald. "President Donald Trump is different. He has delivered on most of his promises. I'm confident his popularity has gone up in the suburbs versus 2016."
