A. Consideration of Purchase from Tyler New World for Automated Fire Station Alerting Interface ($25,600 – Funded by Emergency Telephone System Board)

Objective: Improve the efficiency and effectiveness for 9-1-1 telecommunicators and fire department members by purchasing an interface between the computer aided dispatch system and the fire station alerting system.

B. Consideration of Purchase from US Digital Designs of Phoenix G2 of Automated Fire Station Alerting ($444,158 – Funded by Emergency Telephone System Board)

Objective: Improve the efficiency and effectiveness for 9-1-1 telecommunicators and fire department members by replacing existing alerting system with an improved system that is utilized for notification of emergency responses.

C. Consideration of Amendment Agreement No. 1 with Hampton, Lenzini and Renwick Inc. for Construction Engineering Services for the 2019 Residential Resurfacing Program in the Southwest Area Neighborhood ($192,966)

Objective: Provide field inspection, design interpretation, contract administration and general coordination and control of the day to day construction activities for the resurfacing of various residential streets.

D. Consideration of Agreement with O’Brien & Gere Engineers Inc. for Further Environmental Investigation Services and Remediation Design and Bidding Services for 40 Ann Street ($72,718) 

Objective: Perform further environmental investigation and procure remediation design and bidding services for environmental remediation of the City-owned property at 40 Ann Street to continue to process the property through the Illinois Site Remediation Program.

E. Consideration of Proposed Ordinance Amending the City’s Liquor Code to Create a Downtown Farmers Market Event Permit (No cost)

Objective: Authorize alcohol sales and consumption at the downtown farmers market events sponsored by the Downtown Neighborhood Association of Elgin.

F. Consideration of Amend the City’s Board of Fire and Police Commissioners Ordinance to Change Police Officer Hiring Requirements (No cost)

Objective: Provide career opportunities for graduates of Elgin Community College's Criminal Justice Program.
