City of Elgin issued the following announcement on June 29.
Officers may ticket residents if they find that the resident permitted detonation on his/her property. Learn more at cityofelgin.org/fireworks.
Those wishing to celebrate the 4th of July with fireworks are encouraged to attend the Elgin 4th of July Fireworks on Thursday, July 4 at 9 p.m. Fireworks will be viewable from Festival Park and nearby locations downtown..
