Q3 2018 Recap: Parolees in Aurora convicted of crimes involving alcohol

There were five offenders convicted of crimes involving alcohol released on parole in Aurora during the third quarter, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the Kane County Reporter.

The data shows that five men were among the parolees. The median age of the parolees sentenced for crimes involving alcohol was 48. The youngest parolee was a 29-year-old man sentenced in 2018, and the oldest was a 65-year-old man sentenced in 2018.

The offender who was incarcerated the longest was Adam Cervantes. He was convicted of a crime involving alcohol in 2017 when he was 35 years old. He is now 37.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below shows the 50 cities in Illinois with the most paroled offenders in Q3 2018 who were convicted of crimes involving alcohol.
