CITY OF ST. CHARLES: 7 Months Of Kirk Road Sidewalk Work Starts June 17

Roadwork

City of St. Charles issued the following announcement on June 15.

Sidewalk and road work at the intersection of Kirk Road at Mesa Lane is scheduled to begin the week of June 17, 2019, weather permitting, as part of the Kirk Road HSIP Improvement.

The anticipated duration for the project is seven months.

Safety improvements consisting of a high friction surface treatment near Cherry Lane, driver feedback speed display signage, enhanced reflective pavement markings, rumble strips, ADA ramps at 10 intersections and traffic signal upgrades to various intersections are included in this improvement on Kirk Road from IL 56 to Cherry Lane.

As this can be an extremely busy road, longer than normal traffic delays are expected during construction.

Motorists should expect delays while traveling through the work areas and add additional time to their commutes.

Questions and concerns may be directed to David Sitko at 630-313-0754.
