City of Elgin issued the following announcement on June 9.
Fur Pet's Sake: Elgin's Expo and Vaccination Clinic is a brand new event this year, taking place on Saturday, June 15 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Kimball Middle School. This event, replacing the previous Pet Expo and Health and Safety events, will provide a new location with a lot more activities to entertain the entire family (those with fur AND without).
*Pets must be leashed.
The Pet Expo portion of the event is OPEN TO ALL, residents and non-residents.
Entertainment and Activities include:
-MEET & GREEN WITH ELGIN POLICE K-9s
-Trick Dog Demonstrations
-Pet Agility Course
-Dog Portraits
-$5 Nail Trims for Pets
-Door Prizes
-Balloon Animals
-Children's Activities
-Food Trucks
-Police and Fire Vehicles
There will be dozens of pet vendors representing:
-Animal Rescues
-Boarding/Training Facilities
-Grooming Salons
-Pet Supply Companies
The Vaccination Clinic portion the event is available to PETS OF ELGIN RESIDENTS ONLY. The clinic is cash only.
-$50 Vaccination Package includes Rabies, Canine Distemper, Parvovirus, Adenovirus and Para Influenza
-$40 Rabies-only Vaccination
-$35 Microchipping
-$25 Heartworm Test
