CITY OF AURORA: Nominations Open for Parade Grand Marshals

City of Aurora issued the following announcement on April 8.

The City of Aurora is seeking nominations for grand marshals of this year’s Memorial Day and Fourth of July parades.

A nominee must be an Auroran who has made significant contributions to the quality of life in the City, whether it be in the areas of civic or social services, humanitarianism, or through personal achievements. A nominee must be a current or long-time past resident of Aurora or have brought some distinction to Aurora. In addition, the nominee for the Memorial Day Parade must also be a veteran, active military personnel or public supporter of veterans' causes.

Deadline for nominations is 5 p.m. on Friday, April 19, 2019:

MEMORIAL DAY PARADE NOMINATION: https://www.aurora-il.org/1244/Memorial-Day-Parade

FOURTH OF JULY PARADE NOMINATION: https://www.aurora-il.org/1239/4th-of-July-Parade

The Memorial Day Parade will held on Monday, May 27, 2019 at Noon. The Fourth of July Parade will begin at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 4, 2019.
